Responsibilities
- Manage and secure federal IT systems in compliance with NIST and FISMA standards
- Provide Tier 3 technical support for VA healthcare information systems
- Implement cybersecurity protocols and incident response procedures
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams on system upgrades and migrations
- Document technical processes and maintain system documentation
- Train staff on new IT systems and security protocols
- Monitor system performance and optimize resource utilization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Active Federal IT-2 certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Minimum 3 years of enterprise IT infrastructure experience
- Proficiency with Windows Server, Active Directory, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
- Strong understanding of federal cybersecurity requirements (FISMA, NIST)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Experience with ITIL framework and IT service management
