We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Specialist to join our team supporting a major federal agency in Atlanta, GA. This is an Immediate Hire opportunity for a qualified professional looking for a stable, high-impact role.
In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, designing, and implementation of federal IT systems. Responsibilities
- Manage Federal Networks: Administer and maintain local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs) to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Security Compliance: Ensure all systems comply with FISMA standards and federal security protocols (FedRAMP).
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex hardware, software, and network issues with minimal downtime.
- System Implementation: Plan, design, and implement new IT infrastructure and software upgrades for federal clients.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate technical documentation, including network diagrams and incident reports.
- Support: Provide Level 3 technical support and training to junior staff and federal personnel.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is required.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+ or higher (CISSP preferred) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal IT support or network administration.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Cisco routers/switches, Windows Server, and Linux environments.
- Clearance: Active or ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance is highly preferred.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
