Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for federal hardware and software systems, including desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- Monitor and maintain network security protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems during the weekend shift.
- Install, configure, and upgrade workstations and servers; manage patching and updates.
- Respond to help desk tickets and resolve critical IT issues with minimal downtime.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal IT security standards (FISMA) and documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with on-call support teams during shift handovers.
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent years of experience).
- Active Secret Security Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
- Proven experience in IT support, help desk, or system administration (1-3 years preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, TCP/IP, and networking protocols.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently during non-standard hours (Saturday and Sunday).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and customer service orientation.
