In this role, you will serve as the primary technical resource for federal staff during weekend hours. Responsibilities
- Provide advanced technical support for federal hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
- Monitor server status and perform routine system backups and maintenance during weekend shifts.
- Ensure strict adherence to federal security protocols, including NIST compliance and data protection laws.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for federal employees with minimal downtime.
- Document all technical interventions, incidents, and resolutions in the Federal IT ticketing system.
- Collaborate with the on-call support team to ensure seamless handoffs during shift transitions.
- Conduct security audits and software updates to mitigate vulnerabilities.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a federal government environment.
- Clearance: Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and Cisco networking hardware.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with federal stakeholders.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work rotating weekend shifts and holidays as required by federal schedules.
- Problem Solving: Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions quickly.
