Responsibilities
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 technical support to federal employees via phone, email, and remote access during weekend shifts.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
- Manage and prioritize help desk tickets using ServiceNow and ITSM tools.
- Ensure strict compliance with federal security protocols, including NIST and FISMA standards.
- Perform system maintenance, patch management, and security audits during off-hours to minimize disruption.
- Conduct on-site training for staff regarding new software deployments and security best practices.
- Collaborate with the on-call support team to ensure 24/7 system availability.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship is required for this federal contract position.
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent technical certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network+).
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or systems administration.
- Must be available to work weekend shifts (Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, and Office 365.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a government security clearance (e.g., Secret).
