Responsibilities
- Conduct border surveillance operations using advanced detection technology and intelligence-driven patrols
- Investigate and apprehend individuals attempting illegal border crossings
- Collaborate with federal, state, and local agencies on joint enforcement operations
- Analyze intelligence data to identify emerging smuggling routes and tactics
- Prepare detailed case documentation and judicial reports for prosecution
- Maintain chain of custody for evidence and seized contraband
- Provide testimony in federal court proceedings
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Minimum of 1 year specialized experience in law enforcement or criminal investigations
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance
- Proficiency in Spanish (written and spoken)
- Successful completion of CBP Academy training program
- Physical fitness to meet federal law enforcement standards
- Ability to work rotating shifts and in extreme weather conditions
- Knowledge of federal immigration and customs laws
