Responsibilities
- Conduct security inspections of travelers and cargo during overnight hours at international ports of entry
- Enforce federal immigration, customs, and agriculture laws using advanced screening technology
- Collaborate with federal agencies including TSA and DEA on joint security operations
- Document and report suspicious activities, contraband, and potential threats
- Operate specialized equipment including X-ray scanners and radiation detectors
- Maintain detailed records and submit comprehensive incident reports
- Provide emergency response support during critical incidents
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license
- Minimum 3 years of law enforcement or security experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Pass physical fitness test and background investigation
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and security screening systems
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure overnight environments
- Spanish language proficiency preferred
