Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain federal IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, and workstations, ensuring 99.9% uptime.
- Provide Tier 2 technical support to federal employees, troubleshooting hardware and software issues remotely and on-site.
- Monitor system performance and security logs to identify vulnerabilities and implement necessary patches.
- Assist in the migration of legacy systems to modern cloud-based platforms (AWS/Azure) while maintaining data integrity.
- Document all technical procedures, incidents, and changes in accordance with federal IT governance standards.
- Collaborate with the security team to conduct regular audits and ensure compliance with FedRAMP and NIST guidelines.
Qualifications
- U.S. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen to meet federal government requirements.
- Education: Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent military/technical experience.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, system administration, or network engineering.
- Certifications: CompTIA Security+, Network+, or similar certifications are highly preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Active Directory, and common remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, Remote Desktop).
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
