Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans (CSRS/FERS) ensuring compliance with ERISA and federal regulations
- Process retirement applications and benefit calculations with exceptional accuracy
- Provide expert guidance to federal employees on retirement planning, survivor benefits, and pension options
- Conduct audits of pension accounts and resolve complex benefit discrepancies
- Develop educational materials and workshops on retirement planning strategies
- Collaborate with HR departments to implement pension policy updates
- Generate comprehensive benefit reports for agency leadership and oversight committees
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration, or related field
- Minimum 3 years experience in pension administration or federal benefits management
- Expert knowledge of CSRS/FERS regulations and ERISA compliance requirements
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., Oracle HCM, Workday)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex retirement calculations
- Excellent communication skills for presenting benefit information to diverse audiences
- Professional certification (e.g., CEBS, QKA) highly preferred
