Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans ensuring strict adherence to ERISA, TSP, and OPM regulations
- Process retirement claims, benefit calculations, and distribution requests with 99.5% accuracy
- Conduct comprehensive plan audits and compliance reviews quarterly
- Develop and implement retirement education programs for federal employees
- Collaborate with OPM, DOL, and Treasury on policy updates and system integrations
- Lead cross-functional projects to optimize pension administration workflows
- Respond to congressional inquiries and internal audits within strict deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, or related field required
- 5+ years of pension administration experience with federal or multi-employer plans
- Certified Pension Administrator (CPA) or CEBS designation preferred
- Expert knowledge of ERISA, TSP, FERS, CSRS, and federal retirement regulations
- Advanced proficiency in pension administration software (e.g., PeopleAdmin, Oracle HCM)
- Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret complex regulations and data
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain one within 30 days
- Experience managing high-volume retirement operations (10k+ cases annually)
