Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize federal pension plan portfolios in compliance with ERISA and OPM regulations
- Analyze actuarial data to forecast pension liabilities and funding requirements
- Develop retirement benefit strategies for federal agencies across all states
- Conduct audits of pension plan operations and recommend corrective actions
- Collaborate with OPM and Treasury on policy development for federal retirement systems
- Prepare comprehensive reports for congressional oversight and public transparency
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Actuarial Science, Public Administration or related field
- 5+ years of pension plan administration experience in federal/state government
- FSPA (Fellow of Society of Pension Professionals) or CFA designation preferred
- Expertise in federal retirement systems (FERS, CSRS) and Thrift Savings Plan
- Proficiency in pension software systems (e.g., Alight, Empower)
- Active security clearance eligibility required
- Demonstrated knowledge of 5 U.S.C. Chapter 83 and 5 CFR Part 841
