Responsibilities
- Oversee compliance of multi-employer pension plans with federal regulations and reporting requirements
- Conduct financial audits and risk assessments for pension fund portfolios exceeding $50M
- Develop and implement corrective action plans for non-compliant pension administrators
- Provide technical guidance to plan sponsors and fiduciaries on fiduciary responsibilities
- Analyze pension plan data to identify trends and recommend policy improvements
- Represent the agency in stakeholder meetings and public forums on pension matters
- Prepare comprehensive reports for congressional oversight and regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of pension plan administration or benefits management experience
- ERISA and DOL regulations certification (CEBS or QKA preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in pension accounting software (e.g., Millennium, ProPak)
- Demonstrated experience with multi-employer plan governance structures
- Strong analytical skills for complex financial modeling and risk assessment
- Ability to obtain and maintain a federal security clearance
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for technical audiences
