Responsibilities
- Process federal pension claims and retirement applications with 99.7% accuracy
- Verify pension eligibility using federal regulations (CSRS/FERS) and benefit calculation systems
- Collaborate with Virginia-based pension analysts on complex multi-state cases
- Conduct benefit counseling for retirees during night shift hours (7 PM - 3 AM)
- Maintain compliance with OPM guidelines and SSA security protocols
- Generate monthly pension reports for regional oversight teams
- Train night shift staff on pension system updates and regulatory changes
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years experience with federal pension systems (CSRS/FERS)
- Active security clearance (or ability to obtain one)
- Proficiency in SSA BENEFITS and PEBES systems
- Strong analytical skills for complex benefit calculations
- Night shift availability (7 PM - 3 AM EST)
- Familiarity with Virginia pension regulations a plus
