Responsibilities
- Administer federal pension plans ensuring strict adherence to ERISA and OPM regulations
- Process retirement claims, benefit adjustments, and survivor benefit requests with 99.8% accuracy
- Conduct comprehensive pension plan audits and compliance reviews
- Provide expert guidance to federal employees on retirement planning and pension options
- Develop and maintain secure digital records using federal systems (e.g., HRIS)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on pension policy improvements
- Respond to FOIA requests and congressional inquiries within SLA requirements
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship required (federal position)
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years pension plan administration experience
- Proficient with federal HR systems (e.g., HRIS, HRS)
- Strong knowledge of ERISA, TSP, and CSRS/FERS regulations
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Sat/Sun 8am-4pm EST)
- Security clearance eligibility or active clearance preferred
- Experience with remote work protocols and digital documentation
