Responsibilities
- Manage federal pension plan administration for veteran retirement accounts
- Ensure compliance with OPM regulations and federal retirement guidelines
- Process annuity calculations and survivor benefit elections
- Conduct retirement counseling sessions for federal employees
- Coordinate with OPM and Treasury on pension fund transfers
- Develop educational materials on retirement planning options
- Audit pension records for accuracy and regulatory adherence
- Lead special projects on pension system modernization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- 3+ years of federal pension or benefits administration experience
- Knowledge of TSP, FERS, CSRS retirement systems
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to interpret complex federal regulations (5 CFR 838)
- Experience with HRConnect and OPM systems
- Top Secret security clearance or ability to obtain
- CFP or SPHR certification preferred
