Responsibilities
- Review and process federal pension applications and retirement claims with high accuracy.
- Interpret complex federal regulations (OPM, FERS) to advise employees on retirement eligibility.
- Conduct actuarial calculations for pension estimates and survivor benefits.
- Ensure all documentation meets compliance standards for federal audits.
- Collaborate with internal legal and finance teams to resolve complex benefit disputes.
- Maintain accurate records in the HRIS system and prepare monthly reports.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal benefits administration or pension management.
- Strong knowledge of the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Social Security Act.
- Proficiency with HRIS software (e.g., PeopleSoft, SAP) and MS Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to pass a federal background check and security clearance process.
