Responsibilities
- Review and analyze federal employee service records to calculate pension eligibility and benefits under FERS and CSRS plans.
- Process pension applications, survivor benefits claims, and retirement packages with high accuracy and speed.
- Provide expert consultation to federal employees regarding their pension statements, annuity calculations, and Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) options.
- Ensure full compliance with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) regulations and internal federal guidelines.
- Investigate and resolve complex pension discrepancies and customer inquiries in a timely manner.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee financial and personal data.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or Human Resources.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in federal benefits administration, pension processing, or retirement planning.
- Deep understanding of Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) and Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS) guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to interpret complex regulations and apply them correctly.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with federal employees.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software (e.g., Workday, SAP).
