Responsibilities
- Process and adjudicate federal pension claims with 99% accuracy
- Advise veterans on retirement eligibility and benefit calculations
- Collaborate with legal teams to resolve complex pension disputes
- Utilize VA systems for real-time benefit tracking and updates
- Conduct eligibility verifications through federal databases
- Prepare detailed benefit statements for congressional inquiries
- Maintain strict compliance with federal pension regulations (5 U.S.C.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years federal benefits administration experience
- Proficiency in VA benefits systems (VBMS, VBA)
- Active Federal Security Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Certified Federal Benefits Consultant (CFBC) preferred
- Expert knowledge of FERS and TSP regulations
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive veteran data with discretion
