Responsibilities
- Process Pension Applications: Accurately review, verify, and input data for federal pension claims and benefit adjustments.
- Beneficiary Support: Provide clear, compassionate guidance to retirees and their families regarding pension eligibility and payout schedules.
- Compliance & Documentation: Maintain strict adherence to federal regulations and agency protocols by organizing and securing sensitive employee records.
- Issue Resolution: Investigate discrepancies in pension calculations and collaborate with senior analysts to resolve complex cases efficiently.
- System Management: Utilize government databases and HRIS software to update beneficiary information and track claim statuses in real-time.
- Communication: Draft professional correspondence and respond to high-volume inquiries via email and secure messaging portals.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associateās degree in Finance, HR, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: No prior experience in the pension industry is necessary. We look for candidates with a strong aptitude for learning and detail-oriented work.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ability to learn new software quickly.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and empathy.
- Availability: Must be able to work full-time (40 hours/week) with the ability to work occasional evenings or weekends as required.
- Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Citizen and authorized to work in the United States.
