Responsibilities
- Monitor federal, state, and local legislation to identify opportunities and risks for clients.
- Develop and implement comprehensive government relations strategies and advocacy plans.
- Engage directly with policymakers, agency officials, and industry coalitions to advance client objectives.
- Prepare and deliver high-level policy briefings, testimony, and presentations to legislative bodies.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and subject matter experts.
- Conduct in-depth research and data analysis to support policy recommendations and lobbying efforts.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive messaging across all levels of government.
Qualifications
- United States Citizenship and eligibility for a Federal Government Security Clearance (Secret or Top Secret).
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in federal government relations, public policy, or regulatory affairs.
- Proven track record of successfully navigating the legislative process in Los Angeles, CA, and Washington, D.C.
- Strong understanding of federal procurement processes and state/local government contracting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex policy into clear, actionable insights.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Public Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
