Responsibilities
- Oversee the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure, for federal government contracts.
- Ensure strict adherence to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Department of Defense (DoD) guidelines and compliance standards.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, analysts, and subject matter experts, to ensure alignment on project goals and deliverables.
- Manage stakeholder relationships, including clients, contractors, and government officials, providing regular status reports and risk assessments.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and resource optimization throughout the contract period.
- Identify potential risks and mitigate them proactively to ensure project continuity and success.
- Prepare and present high-level briefings to senior leadership and government decision-makers.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the Federal or Government sector.
- Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain one.
- Professional Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent (e.g., PgMP, CAPM).
- Strong understanding of federal acquisition processes, contract types, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information for diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Jira, ServiceNow) and Microsoft Office Suite.
