Responsibilities
- Receive, organize, and index incoming federal correspondence and documents according to established retention schedules.
- Perform regular audits of physical and digital record storage to ensure accuracy and compliance with 44 CFR Part 12 regulations.
- Digitize and scan paper records into secure electronic databases with high attention to detail.
- Retrieve and distribute specific records to authorized personnel and government agencies as requested.
- Perform regular inventory counts of storage supplies and report discrepancies immediately.
- Assist in the secure destruction of records when they reach the end of their retention lifecycle.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment in the records center.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in records management, filing, or administrative support is highly desirable.
- Ability to pass a federal background check and security clearance verification.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and data entry software.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or hold valid permanent residency status.
