Responsibilities
- Conduct 24/7 surveillance and patrols of federal property using advanced monitoring systems
- Enforce security protocols and access controls for personnel, vehicles, and materials
- Respond to emergencies including medical incidents, security breaches, and natural disasters
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain comprehensive security documentation
- Collaborate with federal agencies (FBI, TSA, Secret Service) during joint operations
- Operate screening equipment and conduct routine inspections of incoming/outgoing shipments
- Mentor junior officers and conduct security awareness training for federal employees
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid security clearance (or ability to obtain Secret clearance)
- Minimum 2 years security/law enforcement experience or military background
- Current Michigan Security Guard License (PSA certification preferred)
- Proficiency in CCTV systems, access control software, and alarm monitoring
- Ability to obtain and maintain DHS fitness standards for tactical response
- Strong communication skills with ability to de-escalate high-stress situations
- Flexibility to work rotating night shifts, weekends, and federal holidays
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
