Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray scanners and metal detectors to screen passengers and carry-on baggage
- Conduct thorough pat-down searches and baggage inspections
- Monitor security checkpoints and respond to suspicious activities
- Enforce TSA regulations and communicate security procedures to travelers
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during security incidents
- Maintain detailed documentation of security operations and incidents
- Train and mentor new security personnel on TSA protocols
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid driver's license required
- Ability to pass TSA background check and security clearance
- Strong attention to detail and observational skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
- Experience in security, law enforcement, or customer service
- Proficient in operating screening technology and security software
