Role Overview:
The FSCO will monitor access control systems, conduct security screenings, and respond to emergencies. You will be the first line of defense in protecting sensitive federal information and personnel.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access points, including vehicle and pedestrian screening, using X-ray machines and metal detectors.
- Conduct thorough background checks and verify credentials for all personnel and visitors entering the federal facility.
- Maintain accurate daily security logs and incident reports in accordance with federal regulations.
- Respond immediately to security breaches, alarms, and emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement when necessary.
- Patrol assigned areas to ensure compliance with safety protocols and physical security measures.
- Enforce post orders and federal security directives strictly and professionally.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice or Security Management is a plus.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a government security clearance.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical duties, including lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license with a clean driving record.
