Responsibilities
- Conduct nighttime surveillance and patrols of port facilities using advanced monitoring systems
- Respond to security alerts and coordinate with federal agencies during emergencies
- Perform vessel and cargo inspections ensuring compliance with federal regulations
- Operate security equipment including CCTV, motion sensors, and communication systems
- Maintain detailed incident logs and security reports for federal compliance
- Collaborate with CBP, FBI, and Coast Guard partners during joint operations
- Train on new security protocols and threat detection technologies
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and valid security clearance (or ability to obtain Secret clearance)
- Minimum 2 years experience in security, military, or law enforcement
- Ability to work rotating night shifts (6:00 PM - 6:00 AM) with weekends
- Proficient in surveillance systems and communication equipment
- Strong decision-making skills under pressure
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods in all weather conditions
