Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to security alerts during overnight hours
- Conduct regular patrols of federal facilities and perimeter security zones
- Operate access control systems and verify credentials for personnel/visitors
- Document security incidents and maintain detailed activity logs
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during emergency protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and implement security measures
- Train junior security staff on federal protocols and procedures
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 2 years security or law enforcement experience
- Valid Virginia driver's license and clean driving record
- Proficiency with CCTV systems and access control software
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours (6 PM - 6 AM)
- Strong written communication skills for incident reporting
- Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and respond to emergencies
- Preferred: Associate's degree in Criminal Justice or related field
