Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security patrols and surveillance of federal facilities using advanced monitoring systems
- Enforce strict access control protocols and verify credentials for personnel and visitors
- Respond swiftly to security incidents and coordinate with federal law enforcement partners
- Maintain detailed security logs and incident reports using digital tracking systems
- Operate X-ray scanners, metal detectors, and other security screening equipment
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and recommend security enhancements
- Provide emergency response support during critical incidents or natural disasters
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active security clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Minimum 2 years of security or law enforcement experience
- Proficient in CCTV operation, access control systems, and alarm monitoring
- Valid Maryland driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts (Fri-Sun) with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for incident reporting
- Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Successful completion of federal background investigation and drug screening
