Responsibilities
- Monitor surveillance systems and respond to security incidents 24/7
- Conduct facility patrols and access control enforcement
- Enforce federal security regulations and VA policies
- Collaborate with law enforcement during emergency situations
- Prepare detailed incident reports and security documentation
- Train staff on emergency protocols and security procedures
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and federal safety standards
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and active security clearance
- Minimum 2 years security/law enforcement experience
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, and rotating shifts
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Proficient in surveillance systems and access control software
- Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain VA background clearance
- Physical fitness for patrol duties and emergency response
