Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain secure web-based applications and databases for state agencies.
- Conduct system analysis, code reviews, and performance tuning to ensure optimal functionality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement federal and state compliance standards.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for internal hardware and software infrastructure.
- Document technical processes and create user guides for state employees and the public.
- Monitor system logs for security breaches and implement necessary patches or fixes immediately.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience in software development, preferably within the government or public sector.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and database management systems (SQL/Oracle).
- Ability to obtain and maintain a required government security clearance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
