Urgent Hiring: Federal & State Local Specialist
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Federal and State Local Specialist to join our growing team in Tallahassee, Florida. This is a critical role requiring deep expertise in navigating the complex landscape of federal regulations and state-level implementation.
Our client is looking for an individual who can bridge the gap between federal mandates and local execution, ensuring compliance and driving efficiency across government programs.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret federal statutes, regulations, and executive orders relevant to state and local operations.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of federal grant applications and compliance reporting.
- Coordinate with state agencies and local municipalities to ensure alignment with federal funding requirements.
- Conduct comprehensive compliance audits and prepare necessary documentation for oversight bodies.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on federal policy updates for internal stakeholders.
- Act as the primary liaison between the federal agency and state/local government representatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with Federal or State government contracts and compliance.
- Deep knowledge of OMB Circulars, the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and state procurement laws.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legislative language.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance (if required).
