Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure federal IT systems and network architectures.
- Ensure compliance with federal regulations, including NIST standards and FedRAMP requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex technical issues and optimize system performance.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for federal infrastructure projects.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff.
- Prepare and present technical documentation and status reports to federal stakeholders.
- Manage system lifecycle activities, from requirements gathering to deployment and decommissioning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Active Top Secret or Secret Security Clearance (or ability to obtain one).
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, network administration, or cybersecurity within the federal sector.
- Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
- Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines in a high-stakes environment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for stakeholder reporting.
