Responsibilities
- Manage veteran benefit applications and claims processing with precision and empathy
- Conduct eligibility determinations for VA healthcare, education, and disability benefits
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community partners to coordinate veteran services
- Maintain accurate case documentation in federal compliance systems
- Provide guidance on VA programs including pension, compensation, and survivor benefits
- Participate in outreach initiatives to connect veterans with available resources
- Resolve complex inquiries through multi-agency coordination and problem-solving
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship (required for federal employment)
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Social Work, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in veterans services or public sector case management
- Proficiency with VA benefits systems (e.g., VBMS, VBA) and federal databases
- Strong knowledge of Title 38 regulations and veterans' entitlement programs
- Exceptional communication skills for diverse stakeholder interactions
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and cultural competence
