Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive security patrols and surveillance of VA facilities during weekend shifts
- Monitor access control systems and verify credentials for personnel and visitors
- Respond to security incidents and emergencies following federal protocols
- Prepare detailed security incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
- Operate advanced security systems including CCTV, alarms, and access control software
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies during critical incident responses
- Enforce federal security regulations and VA policies with professionalism
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of professional security or law enforcement experience
- Active security clearance or ability to obtain federal clearance
- Valid state driver's license and clean driving record
- Proficiency in security systems (CCTV, access control, alarms)
- Ability to work independently during weekend shifts with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for reporting
- U.S. citizenship required for federal position
- Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and work in various weather conditions
