Job Description
We are seeking a visionary Future AI & Quantum Research Lead to spearhead our R&D initiatives leading up to the pivotal year of 2026. At Nexus Horizon Labs, we are building the foundational technologies that will define the next decade of human advancement. You will be responsible for defining the strategic roadmap for our advanced computing projects, bridging the gap between theoretical quantum mechanics and practical artificial intelligence applications.
In this role, you will lead a world-class team of engineers, physicists, and data scientists, driving innovation that pushes the boundaries of what is possible in machine learning and quantum computing.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the 2026 Research and Development Roadmap for AI and Quantum Computing integration.
- Lead a high-performance R&D team, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and scientific curiosity.
- Oversee the architecture and development of proprietary algorithms designed to solve complex, unsolved problems in predictive modeling.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments, including product management, engineering, and external academic partners.
- Publish high-impact research papers and secure patents for breakthrough technologies.
- Identify emerging trends in AI and hardware acceleration to stay ahead of the competitive landscape.
- Manage the research budget and allocate resources effectively for long-term high-risk, high-reward projects.
Qualifications
- Masterβs or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related technical field from a top-tier institution.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in leading research teams within the AI, Machine Learning, or Quantum Computing sectors.
- Proven track record of delivering major technical milestones and leading large-scale R&D projects.
- Deep understanding of quantum computing principles, quantum algorithms, and their application to AI.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and manage diverse, high-level technical talent.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Experience with Python, C++, and modern cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
