Responsibilities
- Architect and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market predictions and societal needs
- Lead interdisciplinary R&D teams developing prototypes in quantum computing, biotech integration, and decentralized AI systems
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and government labs to pioneer emerging standards
- Develop ethical frameworks for autonomous systems and quantum applications ensuring responsible innovation
- Secure and manage $15M+ annual innovation budget with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Present disruptive technologies to C-suite executives and venture capital partners for funding decisions
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory shifts to anticipate opportunities in post-2025 tech landscapes
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology leadership with proven track record in emerging tech commercialization
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or related field; PhD preferred
- Expertise in at least three of these domains: quantum algorithms, neuromorphic computing, climate tech AI, or synthetic biology
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry white papers (2019-2023)
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants (DARPA, NSF, etc.)
- Proficiency in scenario planning tools and futures methodology frameworks
- Portfolio demonstrating commercialization of at least one breakthrough technology
