Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive technology roadmaps for 2026-2030, identifying emerging trends and disruptive innovations
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives in quantum AI, synthetic biology, and neuro-interfaces
- Establish strategic partnerships with leading research institutions and Fortune 100 tech firms
- Present technology forecasts to C-suite executives and investment committees
- Design ethical frameworks for next-gen AI and biotech implementations
- Secure $10M+ in R&D funding through grant proposals and venture partnerships
- Mentor a team of 15+ researchers and engineers in emerging technologies
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Biotechnology, or Physics with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in scaling R&D initiatives with $5M+ budgets
- Published research in Nature, Science, or IEEE journals on emerging tech
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum machine learning, bioinformatics, or neuromorphic computing
- Experience with technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Strong network connections with DARPA, NSF, or equivalent innovation bodies
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and cloud architecture (AWS/GCP)
