Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 5-year technology roadmap aligning with organizational vision and market trends
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to prototype and validate emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive innovations with commercial potential
- Present strategic recommendations to executive leadership and investors
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and tech startups
- Oversee technology adoption strategies and change management
- Monitor ethical implications and regulatory compliance of emerging tech
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning or innovation leadership
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains (e.g., AI ethics, quantum applications, synthetic biology)
- Experience with scenario planning and technology forecasting methodologies
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills
- Advanced degree in relevant field (MS/MBA/PhD preferred)
- Published thought leadership in technology innovation
