Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology adoption roadmaps for emerging fields (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neurotech)
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with engineering, design, and product teams
- Conduct horizon scanning for breakthrough technologies with global research partners
- Translate complex scientific concepts into actionable business strategies
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions and venture labs
- Present strategic frameworks to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Manage $2M+ annual R&D budget for experimental initiatives
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with Fortune 500 scale impact
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Futurism
- Published research in IEEE or Nature journals on emerging tech
- Proven track record leading cross-continental innovation projects
- Expertise in technology forecasting methodologies (Delphi, Horizon Scanning)
- Deep knowledge of quantum computing and AI ethics frameworks
- Fluency in at least two programming languages (Python, R, etc.)
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
