Responsibilities
- Architect 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging sectors including neuromorphic computing and climate-positive AI
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives targeting 2026 breakthrough milestones
- Secure strategic partnerships with quantum hardware pioneers and decentralized networks
- Translate futuristic concepts into viable product roadmaps with clear ROI projections
- Present technology vision to C-suite executives and venture capital consortiums
- Anticipate ethical implications of emerging technologies and develop governance frameworks
- Author thought leadership publications for IEEE and Nature Futures journal
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or Futurist Studies (Master's + 10yrs experience considered)
- Proven track record developing technology roadmaps for 2025+ initiatives
- Expertise in at least two of: quantum machine learning, neuromorphic engineering, or climate modeling
- Experience securing $10M+ in R&D funding from government/private sources
- Published research in top-tier journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Deep familiarity with ISO 20700 foresight methodology and Toffler's Third Wave principles
- Exceptional communication skills for translating complex concepts to diverse stakeholders
