Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligning with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping futuristic solutions (AR/VR, quantum applications, etc.)
- Conduct horizon scanning for emerging tech threats and opportunities
- Partner with C-suite to integrate future-tech initiatives into business strategy
- Author thought leadership on technology ethics and societal impact
- Manage $2M+ innovation budget for experimental projects
- Mentor junior researchers in emerging technology domains
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning with 5+ in future-tech roles
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Proven track record of launching disruptive tech products/services
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation
- Experience managing R&D budgets >$1M
- Exceptional stakeholder management across global organizations
- Published author or speaker at tech innovation conferences
