Responsibilities
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps for emerging sectors (quantum, AI, biotech)
- Lead cross-functional workshops to identify disruptive innovation opportunities
- Produce scenario-based forecasts for geopolitical and market shifts
- Partner with R&D teams to accelerate lab-to-market technology pipelines
- Advise executive leadership on emerging risks and strategic pivots
- Represent Horizon at global futurism conferences and policy forums
Qualifications
- PhD in Futures Studies, Systems Engineering, or related field
- 10+ years in technology strategy or innovation consulting
- Published research on exponential technology adoption curves
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Proven track record of translating foresight into commercial strategy
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., Causal Layered Analysis)
- Strong network with global technology research institutions
