Responsibilities
- Analyze global megatrends (AI, quantum computing, biotech) to forecast 2026 market landscapes
- Develop scenario-planning frameworks for disruptive technology adoption
- Lead cross-functional sprints to prototype future-facing solutions
- Present strategic foresight to executive board and investor committees
- Author annual 'Future State' whitepapers read by Fortune 500 leaders
- Mentor junior futurists and establish departmental KPIs
- Partner with VC firms to identify emerging acquisition targets
Qualifications
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or tech R&D leadership
- Proven track record of predicting market shifts (portfolio examples required)
- Expertise in horizon scanning, Delphi methodology, and trend analysis
- Advanced degree in Futures Studies, Systems Thinking, or related field
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed futurist journals
- Experience with scenario planning tools (e.g., Foresight Platform, Kumu)
- Fluency in at least two future-tech domains (quantum, AR/VR, synthetic biology)
- Exceptional storytelling skills for executive audiences
