Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Geographic Information Systems (GIS) databases and mapping applications.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret spatial and non-spatial data to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate GIS data into broader county projects.
- Create high-quality maps, charts, and visualizations to communicate complex data findings to stakeholders.
- Perform quality assurance checks on data integrity and system functionality.
- Train staff on GIS software tools and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Urban Planning, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in GIS analysis and mapping.
- Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Suite (ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online).
- Experience with database management systems (SQL, Oracle) is preferred.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license may be required for field work.
