Responsibilities
- Manage pension fund administration including contributions, distributions, and record-keeping
- Ensure compliance with Georgia state pension regulations and federal requirements
- Develop and implement pension policy documentation and procedures
- Provide retirement counseling and benefits guidance to public employees
- Conduct financial modeling and forecasting for pension fund sustainability
- Collaborate with auditors and external financial institutions
- Prepare comprehensive reports for city council and stakeholders
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Public Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)
- Minimum 3 years' experience in pension administration or public finance
- Certified Public Pension Administrator (CPPA) designation required
- Deep knowledge of Georgia pension laws and ERISA regulations
- Advanced proficiency in financial software and data analysis tools
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage confidential financial information with discretion
