Responsibilities
- Research and analyze federal/state/local legislation impacting municipal operations
- Develop policy briefs and strategic recommendations for city council members
- Coordinate intergovernmental relations with federal/state agencies
- Manage public outreach campaigns and stakeholder engagement initiatives
- Prepare official correspondence and testimony for legislative hearings
- Monitor regulatory compliance across municipal departments
- Lead cross-functional projects on urban development initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Political Science, or related field
- 3+ years of government affairs or public policy experience
- Proficient in legislative research tools (e.g., LexisNexis, GovTrack)
- Exceptional written/verbal communication skills
- Deep knowledge of Nebraska state/federal government structures
- Valid Nebraska driver's license
- Ability to obtain security clearance
