Responsibilities
- Administer employee benefits programs including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness initiatives
- Process enrollment forms, claims, and compliance documentation
- Conduct benefits orientation sessions for new hires and annual updates for existing staff
- Collaborate with external vendors and healthcare providers to optimize benefit offerings
- Ensure strict adherence to federal/state regulations and public sector policies
- Maintain accurate benefits databases and reporting systems
- Respond to employee inquiries with exceptional customer service
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Public Administration, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in benefits administration or HR
- Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation preferred
- Proficiency in HRIS systems and benefits management software
- Deep understanding of ERISA, ACA, and public sector labor laws
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving abilities
- Experience with government procurement processes preferred
