Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret federal/state/local regulatory changes for policy compliance
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments across municipal departments
- Develop comprehensive compliance documentation and training programs
- Collaborate with legal teams to address regulatory violations
- Generate compliance reports for city council and state agencies
- Lead cross-departmental compliance improvement initiatives
- Stay current with evolving government regulations (e.g., CALPERP, HUD)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Law, or related field
- 3+ years government compliance/regulatory experience
- Deep knowledge of California state/federal compliance frameworks
- Strong analytical and report-writing capabilities
- Professional certification (e.g., CCEP, CAMS) preferred
- Experience with municipal ERP systems (e.g., Oracle Public Sector)
- Valid California driver's license
- Ability to obtain security clearance
