Responsibilities
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance of public infrastructure, including roads, sidewalks, and traffic signs.
- Operate heavy machinery and equipment safely in accordance with all OSHA and government safety regulations.
- Assist in traffic control and flagging operations to ensure the safety of commuters and construction crews.
- Document work completed accurately using government digital logging systems and reporting tools.
- Communicate effectively with city officials, other departments, and the general public regarding project status.
- Adhere to strict government protocols regarding confidentiality and public service standards.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests during inclement weather or critical infrastructure failures.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting 50+ lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer literacy for data entry and reporting tasks.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
