Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain the local area network (LAN) and wide area network (WAN) infrastructure for government facilities.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local data security regulations and government standards.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for internal staff and public sector applications.
- Collaborate with department heads to implement technology solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of system configurations, security logs, and incident reports.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execute emergency IT protocols as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a government setting.
- Familiarity with public sector software, FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) requirements, and government procurement processes.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VPNs, and network security protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical staff.
